The Program Management staff has experience working large and small scale programs “from cradle to grave,” and is also knowledgeable of CPMP and PMF project development guidelines.  This team has many years of IC and DoD program experiences, and has also provided guidance on implementing configuration management and change control systems for various projects.

Enterprise Information Retrieval

In the area of Enterprise Information Retrieval, we have expert level knowledge with multi-lingual information retrieval tools.  Being platform agnostic, we are well versed in Windows, Solaris, Linux, to name a few.  We have extensive experience with large enterprise information retrieval projects and are highly experienced with developing and leveraging ontologies and taxonomies.

Multi-Level Security

MTI has designed, developed and provided Tier 3 support for a large Federal Government customer, including the definition of the systems and software level requirements and also possess a strong working knowledge of the security accreditation process and corresponding security review boards.  Our J2EE One Way Transfer Management solution is enterprise grade, Low-To-High, handles multiple protocols, gathers metrics, performs flow control, and assures data delivery.  

Computer Forensics

The MTI team has a thorough understanding of computer forensics and network collection analysis and has extensive hands-on experience with the corresponding COTS and GOTS packages, including foreign language media.  Working closely with its customers, MTI has integrated computer forensics into data mining and enterprise workflow. 

Multi-Lingual Data Eploitation

We have expert level experience in cross and monolingual data exploitation and have performed ETL of foreign language data for enterprise data mining.  Multiple applications have been developed by MTI for hard copy data exploitation (document image mining, page segmentation, Arabic, Chinese/Japanese/Korean (CJK) Optical Character Recognition (OCR)) and digital media exploitation (text extraction, machine translation, transcoding, Unicode and data normalization, named entity extraction, Categorization/Classification/Clustering).  We are pioneering data “constructuring” – the automation of formatting unstructured data into structured data.

Data Management

Our team is also compromised of Database Administrators, Database Engineers, Database Architects, SAN and Storage engineers. 

Software Engineering

The Software Engineering staff is knowledgeable in software development lifecycle and has successfully applied this discipline effectively on many projects.  They have worked enterprise level systems hands on, applying Rapid Prototyping development with technology insertion as appropriate with expertise in J2EE, C and C++, distributed and high performance computing, and PL/SQL.

Systems Management and Administration

Along with the engineering staff, MTI offers system and network administrators.  Our systems administrators are versed in UNIX, Linux, and Windows, with experience in enterprise system administration tools like Tivoli and Openview, and vendor specific administration tools like Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) and Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS).  Our network team not only provides superior designs, but also is highly knowledgeable in Cisco, Juniper networks, and Borderguard.  Both administrator teams have also successfully installed and deployed various operational systems.
